[beuter’s telegrams.] SYDNEY, October 26. Mr Stephen* The suspension of Mr Stephen, Undersecretary for Lands, has terminated, and he has been removed to a slightly inferior position. The Gunga. Advices have been received from Levuka, dated October 9th, in which it is stated that the Gnnga had not arrived, being four days overdue. It is however conjectured that her machinery has broken down. ShippingArrived —Wakatipu, from Wellington. MELBOURNE, October 26. Sailed —Albion yesterday, and Rotorua to-day, for New Zealand. The Cup. The betting on Mata progresses, and Burleigh is now 8 to 1.
