PROPERTY SALE.

At the Land Sale Booms of Messrs H. Matson AND Co., on Saturday last, the usual Bale of properties was held. The attendance was very large, but biddings slow. More than usual interest was Bhown in this Bale, the catalogue showing that a large and interesting number of town and country properties were to be sold in the estate of the late T. M. Haa?al, deceased. The first lot comprised 100 acres situate at Burnbam. whinh was finally sold at JJ2 2s per acre. Fifty acres in the same black realised £2 5?. Then followed six farms situate at Kaiapoi—No. 1 containing 23 acres, sold for J 320 per acTO 5 No. 2, containing 23 acres, boM for £23 10b per acre; No. 3, containing 22 aorcs 20 perches, £23 10s per acre ; Nos. 4,5, and 6, containing 61 acres 1 rood £0 perches, .£ls par acre. Then followed a section of land, corner of Marton street am- Manchester Btraet, pirfc of which under lease for eleven years at a rental of JG7O per annum, with throe shops thereon, was sold for .£1450. Section No. 55 on the sale plan in Deans' eßtate, Biccarton, .£192 10a. The Coldßtream sections next followed, situated near the Bangitata, and close to the Lowcliffe Homostead. Bural section 23989, containing 90 acres, at £i 1- K s. Bural section 28595, containing 99 acres, at £2 ss. Bural sections 38398 and 28399, containing 136 acres, at £1 ss. Bural sections 29386 and 29337, containing 161

acres, at £2 ss. Sections 577 and 578, in the Ashburton township, sold at «£6O each ; and acres near the township realised per acre. A number of other properties in the same estate were passed in.
