[eeuter's telegrams.] LONDON, October 22. The Markets. Consols have advanced to NewZealand securities hare improved and are to-day quoted as follows :—Five per cent. 10-40 loan, 100 ; five per cent. 1889 loan, four and a-half per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 93f. Adelaide and New Zealand wheat are unchanged. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,720,000 quarters. Australian tallow is without quotable change. Best Sydney copra is quoted at £l7. Best sides, Australian leather, have advanced to 11 id. LONDON, October 23. Aquatic.
Trickett and Laycock have returned from their trip to the Islo of Wight, and are again in training at Putney.
Severe Hurricane.
Telegrams have been received from Copenhagen announcing that a severe hurricane has been experienced there which has caused numerous shipping casualties.
PARIS, October 23. Flood at Cherbourg.
Owing to the heavy rains the environs of the Port of Cherbourg are completely inundated and much damage is being done to property. CONSTANTINOPLE, October 22. The Surrender of Dulcigno-
The German, French and Austrian Ambassadors to the Porte are, in accordance with instructions from their Governments, urging the Sultan to order Riza Pasha to surrender Dulcigno to the Montenegrins within five days.
CONSTANTINOPLE, October 23. A Dead Failure.
The Convention of the delegates of the Powers and Turkey, which has been sitting at Cettinge since the 18th instant, has failed to come to any understanding as to details in regard to the cession of Dulcigno. The sittings of the Couvention accordingly have been suspended.
ATHENS, October 23. Greek Affairs-
In consequence of the opposition which the Greek Ministry have met with in Parliament, they have tendered their resignations and a new Ministry is now iu course of formation.
TEHERAN, October 23. The Predatory Khurds.
The tribes of predatory Khurda who recently crossed the Persian frontier and pillaged a number of villages and massacred many inhabitants have began to renew their ravages, and are continuing their depredations. Persian troops, under Heshmeked Dowlah, are rapidly advancing against the enemy.
CAPE TOWN, October 23. The Basuto War-
Telegrams from the seat of hostilities in Basuto land report that, notwithstanding their recent defeats, the Basutos continue to act on the offensive. A large body of the enemy now threatens the rear of Oolonel Clarke's position at Mafeting, which place he was recently relieved with reinforcements of the Gape Rifles.
