MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23. For Northern provinces, per Wanaka, at 7.30 P ’ m ‘ MONDAY, OCTOBER 25, Otago and Australian Colonies, per Rotomahana, at 3.20 p.m.; lata fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4.5 p.m. train. Northern ports, per Oreti, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4.30 p.m, ; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train. Tho next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via San Francisco, will close on November 6th. This mail will be due in London on December 22nd. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will close on November 17th.
