MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22. 1 For Kalkoura, per Jane Douglas, at 320 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4 5 p.m. train. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23. For Northern provinces, per Wanaka, at 7.30 P-m ’ MONDAY, OCTOBER 25. Otago and Australian Oo.ouiea, per Eotomahana, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 240 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, Ac., via Ran Francisco, will close on November 6th. This moil will be due in London on December 22nd. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &o , via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), wi 1 close on November 17th. This mail will be due in London on January 6tb, 1881. SYDNEY J.
