ARREST OF A CELEBRATED BRIGAND.

Tho arrest has taken place near Rome of a celebrated person, brigand Tibursi. A witness writes that he was betrayed by a confident that used to take him food. Five carabiniere were placed at a near the spot, hidden in trees, &o.; when Tibursi appeared one of the carabiniere sprang upon him like a oat, and although Tibursi struggled with all the fear of death upon him, he could not release himself from the oarabinier, who clung to him until tho others came up and bound tho brigand round and round with cords, bb if ho had been one of the once famed Davenport brothers, only his head was free when he was brought to Rome. All along the road there were hundreds of people to stare at him, and even then, bound as he was, the brigand frightened them with the fire of his eyes. He is only forty years of age, and very handsome. Last year he feared he was going into a consumption, and it is said that he consulted the Pope’s physician, who advised him to take cod liver oil. The Pope’s physician will no doubt be much astonished when he learns what a distinguished visitor he had then in his hands. This capture has quite ridden tho vicinity of Rome from brigands; travellers need be under no more apprehension in this respect.
