The following is a comparative return of the number of telegrams forwarded, the revenue received, and the value of General Government telegrams transmitted for the quarter ending September 30th, 1880, and the corresponding quarter of 1879 : —Telegrams forwarded September quarter, 1879. £336,661; September quarter, 1880, £300,622. Cash revenue received—September quarter, 1879, £17,700 4s 5d ; September quarter, 1880, £16,791 13s lid. Value of Government telegrams—September quarter, 1879, £7657 2s ; September quarter, 1880. £6267 5s 3d.
