Mails dose at the Chief Post Office for the following plaoeß (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21. For Akaroa and Otago, per Taiaroa, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters at 11.30 a.m.; guard's ran, 12 noon train. For Northern Ports, per Botomahana, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters at 3.30 p.m.; guard's ran, 4.5 p.m. train. For Chatham Islands, per Botomahana, to connect with Omaha at Auckland, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters at 3.30 p.m. ; guards's van, 4 5 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.,- guard's van, 4 5 p.m. train. MONDAY, OCTOBER 25. Otago and Australian Co.onies, per Botomahana. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &e., via San Francisco, will close on November 6th. This mail will be due in London on December 22nd. BYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
