A Sleepy Woman.—There is a woman in San Francisco who falls to sleep every time she eits down, and oven when standing by the window sleeps there, to the no small surprise of the passers-by. Some months ago she hud a tumor taken from her side, and e7er sinoe lias had continued pain in the back, allayed only by taking laudanum, which dose, from fifteen drops, she has insensibly augmented to three teanpoonsfuls a day. Ae she eats her breakfast the spell comes on, and she sleeps for hours, arid no matter what her occupation may be, off she drops into tbe embrace of Morpheus. She cannot give up the dtxig, and the poor woman has so little strength that upon awaking from her sleep she is unable to stretch forth her hand.
