The Cession of Dulcigno.
A note has been received from the Porte announcing its intention to cede Dulcigno to Montenegro. The Porte hopes that this step will prevent any further display on the part of the combined fleet, and that it will at once be abandoned. Burmese Affairs. Intelligence has been received from Rangoon that a force of Burmese troops, numbering 1000, has assembled on the British frontier, and is making preparations to attack Allanty’s (sic) garrison at that place, which is being strengthened in view of possible hostilities. TEHERAN, October 12. Prom native sources it is reported to be the intention of the King of Burmah to demand an indemnity from Great Britain for the late Mjoungohe rebellion, and it is also further stated that the appearance of Burmese troops on the frontier is believed to be for the purpose of suppressing the Dacoiteso. LONDON, October 13 The Chili-Peruvian WarInformation has been received that the American Government is mediating to prevent a further resumption of hostilities between Chili and Peru. The papers relating to the negotiations have been published in the “ Gazette ” of Mexico. The Revolt in Persia. The latest news from Persia states that the Khurds have destroyed 170 villages, and are now retiring into the mountains with their booty. CALCUTTA, October 13. The Afghan WarIntelligence has been received from Cabnl that Mahomed Jan, who for some time has been most hostile to the British, and who operated with Ayoub Khan in the attack on Candahar, has now sent in his submission to the Ameer Abdurrahman of Cabul.
