POLICE COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday, Octobbe 12. [Before J. Birch and J. T. Brown, Esqa , J.P.’e] Beeach ob the Pback. —David Scott, for creating a disturbance at the Golden Age, where he broke a window, was fined 10s. Cutting and Wounding.—Charles Johnston, charged with the above offence on the persons of W. C. Sheppard and W. H. Conlan, barmen at the White Hart Hotel, was remanded till Friday next for the production of witnesses. Bail was allowed in two sureties of £25 each and himself in £SO. Buegdaet.—James Kobinson, Matthew McOullam, and Robert Jameson were brought up charged with breaking into the shop of 8. and stealing therefrom watches, jewellery, &c., also with breaking into the shop of H. Medley, storekeeper, Oxford terrace. The police stated that prisoners were found in the course of last night sleeping together in an outhouse on Oxford terrace. Soma of the missing goods were found in the room with them. A remand wae asked for, and granted till Monday next, prisoners (o bo brought up sooner if the police are prepared to go on with the case.
