DR. RUSSELL ON FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
To the -Editor of the Olohe, Sib, —Having had the pleasure of listening to Dr. Russell’s lecture on Monday evening—and it must have been a great pleasure to the chairman and those present also —I think the friendly societies of Canterbury ought to prevail on the Doctor to have his lecture printed, and ought to circulate it among the friendly societies of Now Zealand. The expense of printing a few thousand copies would not be great, and as there is an incidental fund in each society for such purposes, they might defray thocostoutof same, and I am sure they would soon be recouped by having a goodly number of now members. Hoping the officers of each society will move in the matter at once, I am, Sir, Yours, &c., WILLIAM NES3, P D S., A.O.F. Ohristchuroh, October Gth, 1880.
