OHEISTOHUSOH. Saturday, October 2. fßefore J. £. Parker and S, Hewlings, Esqs,, J.P.’s.] Drunkbnbbs. —Richard Harper wa« fined 20s, or forty-eight hours' imprisonment. Ikdkdknt Abbauxt. —John Harband, nineteen, was charged with committing an indecent assault on the person of a girl aged sixteen on the New Brighton road on the evening of Sunday, September 26th. The case was heard with closed doors. Mr Izard appeared for defendant, who was committed for trial at the coming session of the Supreme -Court. Bail was allowed, the father of prisoner in £IOO and two sureties in £SO each. Another Cask.—Albert Green, fifteen, was brought up charged with indecently assaulting a child aged four and a half years at PhiUipston on September 30th. This case was also heard with closed doors. Prisoner was undefended. The Bench considered the evidence was insufficient to warrant the committal of the prisoner, and he was discharged, his father undertaking to give him a .sound whipping.
