MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the t hief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary altera lions) as under: — THURSDAY, SEPT. 30. For Otago, per Taiaroa, at 11.15 a m. ; late fee letters, at 11.30 a .m. ; guard’s van, 12 noon train. Northern P.rts and Australian Colonies, per Tararua, at 3.20 p.m.; late foe letters, at 330 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4 5 p m. train. Kaikoura, per Tni, at 420 p m.; late fee letters at 4.35 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train. The mail for the United Kingdom, Ac., v'a San Francisco, will close on the 9th October next. This mail will he due ih London on November 23rd. ' The next mail for the United Kingdom, Ac., via Brindisi {'or specially addressed correspondence only) will close on the 20th October.
