[eedtee's telegrams.] MELBOURNE, September 27. A Naval Demonstration. Arrived—H.M.S. Emerald, Wolverine, Cormorant, and Nautilus. New Zealand ExhibitsThe New Zealand exhibits are well advanced. Dr. Hector, the Now Zealand commissioner, has prepared a handbook fer distribution, containing concise and valuable information regarding the productions, progress, and statistics of the colony. The Melbourne Cup. Mata has been strongly backed for the Cup, in consequence of Camballo's victory. MELBOURNE, September 28. The Sugar TradeMauritius telegrams to the Sth instant report that engagements for Now Zealand amount to 3SO tons of sugar, including 250 tons for Christchurch. Something: Wrong Somewhere. The British Exhibitors to the Melbourne Exhibition advertise a picnic which they intend to hold on Friday next, the opening day. They do this in consequence of the discourtesy which they allege is shown by the Melbourne Commission in omitting to send them cards of invitatiou to tho opening ceremony.
ADELAIDE, September 28. Shipping. Messrs Trinder and Anderson's steamship Clifton has arrived from Plymontb.
