RICCARTON CRICKET CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Eiccarton Cricket Club was neld in the old schoolroom, Upper Eiccartcn, on Fridays evening, the 17th of September. There was a good attendance of members, and others interested in the club. In tbo absence of the Eev. O. Bowen, the president, Mr Walter Blake, was voted to the chair. The treasurer having read a statement of the expenditure and receipts for the past year, Mr T. By ford proposed, and Mr H. Ford seconded—“ That the accounts as read be passed. The next business transacted was the election of officers for the ensuing year. The following were elected : —President, Eov. O. Bowen; captain, Mr Walter Blake j secretary and treasurer, Mr T. Baynton Knight. Mr Waller Blake proposed—“ That the officers of the club, in conjunction weth Messrs Sam Powell, H. Ford, und F. Do ell act as a committee of management, this was seconded by Mr Knight and carried. The secretary reported that a number of subscriptions for last season were still unpaid. Mr Walter Blake proposed, and Mr T. Lyford seconded—■“ That members who have not paid their subscriptions for last season be reminded that the same are now long since overdue.” The opening day was fixed, and a vote of thanks to the chairman closed the meeting.
