Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to tho necessary alterations) as under: — WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 15. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 5.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 5.45 p.m.; guard’s van, 6.50 p.m. train. THURSDAY, SEPT. 16. Vo* Ot»go and Australian Colotiiea, per press, to COmieet -it! a o. Aa—ta, at Blun, at 7 a.m. Late fee letters may bo posted in the travelling Post-Office van attached to the express train. For Otago, per Wanaka, at 11.15 a.m ; late fee letters at 1.30 a.m. ; guard’s van, 12 noon train. FRIDAY, SEPT. 17. For Northern Provinces, per Rotorua and Watatipu. For Australian Colonies, pee Wakatipu. For Fiji, to connect with s.s. Southern Cross at Auckland, by Rotorua, on September 17th. THURSDAY. SEPT. 23. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only) Continent of Europe, Point de Gallo, India, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, &c., per express, to connect with s.s. To Anau, at Bluff, as follows Ordinary letters, at 7 a.m.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. On Wednesday, September 23nd, money orders, at 4 p.m. Lata fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post-Office van attached to the express train on Thursday, September 23rd. This mail will bo duo in London on November 11th.
