POLICE COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday, Sbptbmbeb 14. [Before E. Dobson and W. Deamer, Esqs,, J.P.'s.l This Court met in the District Court-house at 10 30 a.m. Vaobancy. James Sullivan, remanded from yesterday, was again brought up on a 1 charge of this nature. Mr March had been communicated with, and he had forwarded a letter from the master of the Old Men s Home, in which were detailed the reasons of prisoner's dismissal from that institution. The police were instructed to again forward the recommendation of the Bench for his readmission. Remanded till to-morrow. Cbbating a Disturbance. William Oreen, for ondeavoring to gain admittance into the White Hart Hotel at 3 a.m. yesterday, was fined 10a. Absconders. —G. McDonald and Sam Northey, two small boys, escapees from the Burnham Industrial School, were ordered to be sent back, the eldest to be whipped. Lunacy fbom Dbink.—Matthew Singleton, who had been at Lyttelton for medical treatment, was now brought up and discharged.
