SEFTON CRICKET CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the above club was held in the Sefton Town Hall on Friday, the 10th of September. Present—Messrs Fendall, senior (in the chair), Stewart, Evans, H. Eendall, O. Fendall, White, Scott, Baird, F. Pemberton, Pemberton, and J. Thompson. Tho following officers were r-elected for tho ensuing season :—President —Mr Ensor ; vice-presi-dents —Messrs Stewart and Eendall, senisr ; captain—Mr Macpherson ; treasurer and secretary —Mr H. Fendall; custodians —Mr Scott, at Sefton, and Mr Newton, at Balcairn. The following committee was then appointed ; Messrs Thompson, Vaughan, Scott, O. Fendall, Wornall, and Evans, with the officers named above. It was reported that the ground had been specially prepared at Balcairn by Mr Evans for the club, but the ground at Sefton was reported unfit for play at present. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Stewart —"That tenders be invited for turfing one and a-hslf chains by halt chain, and that the committee meet next Eriday, at Sefton, to consider tho tenders.” Mr Evans consented to see the work properly done. The treasurer was asked to purchase tho tools necessary for the season. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr O. Fendall—“ That an entertainment and ball be held at Balcairn on October 20th, to defray tho expenses of preparing the ground, &c.” The annual balance sheet was submitted as follows :—lncome, £lO 2s; expenditure, £lO 3s 9d; debit balance. Is 9d. It was resolved, on tho motion of Mr Fendall —“ That the season should open on October 2nd, with a match Between the married and single members.”
