[reuteb’s telegrams.] LONDON, September 8. Terrible Colliery AccidentA terrible explosion occurred to-day at the Seaham colliery, by wbick 150 miners have been killed or are entombed in the mine. Board of Trade ReturnsThe Board of Trade returns of the exports for last month amount to £19,125,000, being an increase of £1,750,000 compared with last year. The imports amounted to £31,187,500, being an increase of £2,087,500. The Markets. Consols have further declined and today are quoted at New Zealand securities are unchanged at last quotations, viz., 5 per cent. 10.40 loan, 104 J-; 5 per cent. 1889 loan, 104; per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 100. New Zealand wheat, ex ship, remains at 425. Adelaide broadstuffs Lave declined Is, and are now at 40s Od for wheat and 33s for flour, ex warehouse. Australian tallow, best beef, 34s 6d ; best mutton, 30s Od.

Wool Sales. At the wool sales to-day 9900 hales were offered, making a total of 174,200 catalogued since the opening. The tone of to-day’s auction was irregular. The Mails. The homeward mails via Brindisi, which left Melbourne on July 23rd, were delivered in London to-day. ShippingArrived—Assel, from Lyttelton. September 9.

The market rate of discount is equal with the hank rale. Wool SteadierAt the wool sales to-day 9600 hales were offered, making a total of 183,800 hales catalogued since the opening. The tone of tho sale was steadier. 14,000 bales have been withdrawn since the opening. LONDON, September 10. The Combined FleetInformation has been received that the combined fleet under the command of Admiral Seymour, which sailed for the Austrian port of Ragusa, in the Adriatic, at the beginning of the month, has arrived at its destination. The squadron is composed of the vessels of the naviei of all the Powers except France. The Seaham Explosion-

Further details have been received of the explosion which took place in Seaham colliery, Durham, yesterday. Over 200 miners were in the pits at the time of the accident, and 137 have since perished. Of the remainder, sixty-seven up to the present have been saved. The Coming Rowing Match.

Laycock and Triekett are now both at Newcastle. They rowed on the Tyne yesterday and were watched by a number of spectators from the hank of the river, and by the critics who were present. Their pulling is considered faulty. The steamship City of Richmond, of the Inman line, by which Hanlan is a passenger from New York, has arrived in a disabled state.
