Mails oloao at tho Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to tho necessary alterations) an under : SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., rer Wanaka, as follows: —Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m,; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on October 26th.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13. For Northern Ports, per Go-Ahead, at 1 50 p.m.; late fee letter, at 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14. For Northern Provinces, per Taiaroa. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion. For Fiji, to connect with s.s. Southern Cross at Auckland, by Rotorua, on September 16th. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will close at Christchurch on September 22nd at 7 a.m. This mail will be due in London on November 11th. Notice. —The Post Office at Malvern was closed for money orders and savings bonk business on August 31st. The Post Office at Sheffield is constituted a money order and savings bank office from Ist September. The Post Office at Aylesbury has been ro-opened from August 20th. SYDNEY J.
