The hulk Borwont went alongside H.M.S. Danae yesterday to tranship 130 tons of coal. The Danish birque Michelle Selchau, with New York: cargo, was to leave Port Chalmers jestsrday for this port. Mr C. W. Turner is agent fjr the vessel, and, upon discharging, it is reported that she will go on to Apia to load with copra for Europe. THSi HEDWIG. Testerdiy afternoon the German brig Hedwief anshorcd in the harbor from New Tork. She is in command of Captain Keiff. and left her port of departure May 6th, with a full American cargo of notions, a pirt of which is consigned to Wellington. The Hedwig crossed the equator on June 17th. having experienced generally fine weather. When in 30 S., on July 6th, a heavy S.E. gale was encountered, continuing for five days. Tristran d' leunh* was passed July 16th, and heavy westerly winds were carried to passing the Capo on July 24th, and in running down the easting, which was accomplished in 40 S, passed Amsterdam Island August 11th. the Leuwin August 21st. Tasmania on the 30th, and made Stewart's Tslind five days since, experiencing southerly winds and thick weather in coming up the coast. Made tho Heads on Wednesdaj night.
