Moils close at the Chief Post Office for the following plaoas (subject to the necessary alterations) as under’:— THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9. For Akaroa, per Taiaroa, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters at 11.30 a.m.; guard’s van, 12 noon train. For Otago, per Wakatipu, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4,35 p.m.; guard’s van, 525 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Te Anau, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4.5 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Tni, at 4.20 p m.; late fee letters, at 4.35 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &0., per Wanaka, as follows:—Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m.; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be duo in London on October 26th.

For Fiji, to connect with s.s. Southern Cross at Auckland, by Rotorua, on September 16th. Tfco next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will close at Christchurch on September 22nd at 7 a.m. This mail will be duo in London on November 11th. Notice.—The Post Office at Malvern was closed for money orders and savings bank business on August Slat.
