[Bt Telboeaph.] [Per Wakatipu, at Wellington.] LONDON, August 31, General Boberts has arrived at Caudahar. Ayoub Khan has withdrawn his entire force to Argandato, north of the city. He was prevented by the Cabul regiments from retiring to Gereshk and Helmund. General Phayra’a intended co-operation with General Boberts has been delayed. Pour land meetings wore held in Ireland on Sunday, when resolutions were passed in favor of abolishing landlordism. Mr Gladstone has visited Dartmouth, Falmouth, Dublin, and Greenock. He met with on enthusiastic reception at Dublin, and, in reply to a deputation at Greenock, he admitted ha health was improved. August 30. From all parts of Afghanistan come reports of the scarcity of fodder, and the horses employed in military service have had to bo put on half allowance. Advices from Belloochistan state that the native population are restless and disturbances are feared. Serious discontent prevails among the Pathans at Kurrachee, the principal seaport town of Sciende, in Eindostan. Fearing a revolt, the British Minister ordered their disarmament, and has taken steps to be prepared for any emergency. The Czar of Eusaia has started for Lividia, and will spend the winter there.
