MAIL NOTICES.
Mails oloaa at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to tho necessary alterations) as under : TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Tararua, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee lotters at 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 240 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Hawoa, at 320 p.m.; late fee letters at 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4.5 p.m. train. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11.
For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europo and America, West lndios, China, Japan (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c, cer Wanaka, as follows: —Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; late fco letters, at 7 p.m.; books and nowspapers, at 6 p.m.; money orders, at 4 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; guard's van, 8.30 p.m. train. This mail will be due in Xondon on October 26th.
Thonext mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will close at Christchurch on September 22nd at 7 a.m. This mail will be duo in London on November 11th. Notice.—The Post Office at Malvern was closed for money orders and savings bank business on August 31st. The Post Office at Sheffield is constituted a money order and savings bank office from Ist September. The Post Officeat Aylesbury haa been re-opened from August 20th. SYDNEY J.
