The House of Commons Remonstrates* In the House of Lords yesterday, the Registration of "Voters (Ireland) Bill, which had passed the House of Commons, was finally thrown out. The action of the Lords was discussed in the House of Commons to-day, when Mr Parnell proposed that the measure should he tacked to the Appropriation Act. Lord Hartington did not approve of this, and suggested that a resolution should he passed remonstrating against the action of the House of Lords. Mr Parnell assented to this proposal. Shipping. Arrived Agata, from Auckland; Palala, from Lyttelton. The Mails. . The mail per Orient Co.’s steamer Liguria, via Brindisi, which left Melbourne on July 23rd, was delivered in London to-day. Reserve Power of IssueThs total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £16,000,000. Tallow. The total stock of tallow in London on the Ist instant was 19,900 casks. Wool Sales. At the wool sales to-day, 9100 bales wore offered, making a total of 130,900 bales catalogued since the opening. The tone of the sale showed that prices were firmly maintained.
