MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2. For Otago, per Hawea, at 11.25 a.m.; late fee letters at 11.35 a.m.; guard’s van, 12 noon train. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3. For Northern porta and Australian Colonies, per Rotomohana, at 3.15 p.m. ; late fee letters at 3.25 p.m.. Guard’s van 4.5 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c., via Sau Francisco, will close at Christchurch on September 11th. This mail will be duo in London on October 2Gth. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will close at Christchurch ou September 22nd at 7 a.m. This mail will be due in London on November 11th. Notice.—The Post Office at Malvern will he closed for money orders and savings bank business on August 31st. The Post Office at Sheffield will ho constituted a money order and savings bank office from Ist September next. The Post Office at Aylesbury has been re-opened from August 20th. SYDNEY J.
