MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— SEPTEMBER 1. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per express (to connect with s.s. Ringarooma at the Bluff) at 7 a.m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post-office van, attached to the express train. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2. For Otago, per Hawea, at 11.25 a.m.; late fee letters at 11.35 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3. For Northern potts and Australian Colonies, per Rotomohana, at 3.15 p.m ; late fee letters at 3 25 p.m., Guard's van 3.55 p.m. train. The next mail for the TJniteu Kingdom, &0., via San Francisco, will close at Ohristchurcb on September 11th. This mail will be due in London on October 26th. Notice.—The Post Office at Malvern will be closed for money orders and savings bank business on August 31st. The Po3t < 'ffice at Sheffield will be constituted a money order and savings bank office from Ist September next. The Post Office at Ayleßbury has been re-opened from August 20th. SYDNEY J.
