MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under SATURDAY, AUGUST 28. For Northern Provinces per Hawes, at 7 p.m. Guard’s van not to be used for this mail. TUESDAY, AUGUST 31. Otago and Australian Colonies, per Arawata. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c., via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on September 11th. This mail will bo due in London on October 26th. Notice.—The Post Office at Malvern will be closed for money orders and savings bank business on August 31st. The Post -1 ffioe at Sheffield will be constituted a money order and savings bank office from Ist September next. The PostjOfficoat Aylesbury has been re-opened from August 20th. SYDNEY J. DICK.
