MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— SATURDAY, AUGUST 28. For Northern Provinces per Hawea, at 7 p.m. Guard’s van not to be used for this mail. TUESDAY, AUGUST 31. Otago and Australian Colonies, per Arawata. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on September lltb. This mail will be due in London on October 26th. Notice.—The Post Office at Malvern will be closed for money orders and savings bank bnsinessbn the August 31st. The Post Office at Sheffield will be constituted a money order and savings bank office from Ist September nest. The Post Office at Aylesbury has been opened from August 20th. SYDNEY J.
