ASHBUBTON. Monday, August 16,

[Buf ore His Honor Judge Ward.] Fergus v Peters and Wright v Fletcher were adjourned till next Court day, on the application of the defendant in the former case and the plaintiff in the latter, both being absent attending Parliament in Wellington. Wood, Shand and 00. v Mo Kerrow and Co. was alio adjourned, on the application of Mr Garrick, who appeared for the plaintiff. J. ITEB3 T CHABLBB HASTES'. Claim—£27 Is 83. Mr Ivess conducted his own case, and Mr Branson appeared for the defendant. In this case the plaintiff employed defendant as a collector of accounts on commission. The defendant collected some accounts, and paid them into the plaintiff's office, deducting a certain sum for commission. The plaintiff alleged that defendant had deducted commission on disputed accounts entrusted to him for collection, and also on unpaid accounts, and hence the action. The plaintiff objected to the defendant's set-off, as it failed to supply dates or items, and applied for an adjournment to enable defendant to supply fuller particulars of the moneys received by him. The adjournment was granted, defendant to pay costs. J. JIEGSOJf T. J. STULEEB. Claim—£l3o. Mr Hammersly (Timaru) appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Branson for the defendant. In thin case the plaintiff engaged defendant to thresh his corn on a certain date. Defendant instead of threshing the corn at the time specified engagpd with another farmer, and did not thresh plaintiff's until later on in the season. Owine to this the plaintiff sustained a loss, as he was not able to sell his grain, and had to send it to Auckland to be sold, and he now sought the recovery of the above sum. After hearing the evidence of plaintiff the case was adjourned for one month to give the plaintiff time to obtain from Auckland an account' of the sale of the grain. IK BANKBUETCY. Final orders of discharge were granted to Timothy Hercoek, James Porter, J. B. Aitken, and John Stephens. Similar applications made by Samuel Corrigan, Bisely Brothers, and H. J. Edwards were adjourned for one month. In re Thomas Clark an order that his deedV>£ assignmentjbe completely executed was made. In re Bobert Poweine an order for payment of costs was made. The Court then adjourned.
