ODDFELLOWSHIP.

A special summoned meeting of the Loyal Benevolent Lodge was held at Montreal Btreet N., on Monday evening last, to receive the auditors' report and balance-sheet, and to elect a treasurer vice Bro. W. Hayward, P.G-., resigned. The auditors' report, which was vory complimentary to the secretary and treasurer, and the balance-sheet, which showed a profit of £IOO for the past six months, were unanimously adopted. Bro. J. S. Wykes, P.G-., was elected treasurer at an advanoed salary. It was also resolved to present publicly, at some future date, a testimonial to Bro. Hayward. Animated discussions took placo upon the Amalgamated Friendly Benefit Societies' Aesociation and the Friendly So cieties Act. The lodge was well attended, the D.P.G.M., several P.P.G.M.'s, and a number of P.Q-.'s and visiting brethren being present. One candidate was initiated, and the lodge closed at 10.30 in due form. The usual moeticg of the Doyleston Lodge, 1.0.0.F.M.U., was held on Tuesday last, there being about fourteen brothsrs present. The secretary handed in the half-yearly balance-sheet, which showed the lodge to be worth over £3OO. Bros. J. L. Christensen and J. H. Doyle were instructed to wait on Br. Malone, and ask him to act as the lodge's dootor, as at present they were without one. At the usual meeting of the Loyal City of Norwich Lodge, on Tuesday night, one candidate was initiated and two proposed for membership. Correspondence was received from the Friendly Societies' Association, and after a little discussion it was decided to have nothing further to do with the Association. j Certificates of merit wero presented to P.G.'s 1 J. Gilford and P. Childs.
