MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office [for the following phiooß (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — TUESDAY, AUGUST 3. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringnrooma, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters at 2JO p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Parts, per Taiaroa, at 1.50 p.m; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4. For Otago and Australian Colonies (to conneet wfth s.s. Tararna at the Bluff), at 7 a.m. ; late fee letters can be posted in the travelling post-office van, attached to the express train. THURSDAY, AUGUST 5. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Albion. _ The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c, via San Francisco, will close at Ohristchurch on August 14th. Mail will be due in London on September 28th. _ The next mail for the Uniteil Kingdom, Ac, via Brindisi, will close at Chriatchurch on August 25th, at 7 a.m. Mail will be due in London on October 16th.
