PROPERTY SALE.
Mb Charles Clark reports a somewhat improved inquiry for properties during tho past fortnight, more especially for good town and suburban. At his auction sale on Tuesday last he had a large attendance, and for several of the properties offered received spirited bidding. The only properties, however, which reached owners’ reserves and were sold were a quarteracre on the Lincoln road, near the Gaol, for £225 ; a bouse and quarter-acre on tho North belt for £560 ; cash in both cases. The other properties offered failed to reach the reserves. Private sales have been made as follow: Sections in Lincoln township at £25 each; section at Phillipstown ; section at New Cambridge, Ferry road, £lO5 ; 40 acres in Oxford district, £2BO ; section Wilson’s Nnrsery, High street; and 36 acres at the Styx, £1260. During next month be has several important sales on hand, viz., the Coldstream property, 14) acres on Fendaltown road ; also about 100 acres at the Heatbcoto Valley, surrounding the township and railway station, on account of the late Selby Cookson, Esq. Also a valuable suburb, to be called Bryndior, lying between Fendaltown road, Merivate, and Papanui, of 100 acres. This is on account of Charles Jeffreys, Esq.
