MAIL NOTICES.
Mails olofla at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to tho nocoaeary alterations) as under : FRIDAY, JULY 30. For Northern Ports, per Grafton, at 3.15 p.m. ; late fee letters at 3.25 p.m.; guard's van, 3.55 p.m. train. TUESDAY, AUGUST 3. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &e., via San Francisco, will close at Chrhtchurch on August 14th. Mail will be due in London on September 28th. Notice—The Post-office at Leithfield will be closed for Money Order and Savings Bank business on 31st July. A Post-office will be opened at Elgin, in the district of Ashburton, from Ist August next.
