COURSING.

CANTERBURY CLUB. After Harmony's win on Tuesday, Rhododendron and Te Kooti were let slip after a strong hare, the former getting a lead of six lengths. The course was a long and exciting one, the former keeping the paceand turns in excellent Btyle, also taking the fences without breaking his run. His quality and condition gained an easy victory from the Maori, and he was at once installed as prime favorite for the Cup. Miranda was led fire lengths by Donald's Daughter, who took first turn, bnt the fawn recovered her lost points, winning a long course. Lae beat Bluebell in a short run, and the day's coursing was finished by a no course between Spring and Cineraria, both dogs having equal points. Yesterday, the weather was delightfully fine, and as a change of venue Mr Fraser's paddock was selected, the beaters making a start at nine o'clock. Cineraria (who was much fancied) again met Spring, who led and had first turn. The favorite, however, being placed quickly, had the best of it, keeping well on the hare at every wrench and ending with a kill. A short undecided course was run by BalmoralFly. In the run off Fly took first turn, forced the hare through a fence and out of sight, scoring a win. A So-ho ! was descried by Mr Wise, to which Banshee led Beaconsfield by half.a<dozen lengths, scoring first and second turns, and making a kill. Little Queen gained a complete victory over Young Ridley, scoring every point in a long course. Sweep beat Rover, the hare, however, being too much for his customary kill. Rhododendron had the beet of it in a long and exciting run with Hermit, but Jeannette getting away from her keeper also joined in, and so caused another undecided. Harmony beat Miranda with ease, alike in turns and running —the quarry escaping. Cineraria and Lee were slipped well together, and had turn about, the former winning a long course. Banshee and Fly rar & no course through Yaldhurst slipping his collar and joining in. In the run off Banßhee gained an easy victory. In the St. Leger, Te Whetu and Liffe ran a very one-sided course, the latter winning easily. Ma Belle had the best of a long course with Wanderer, and Don Carlos beat Nellie. Owing to the hour of closing, and the telegraph station being bo far from the ground, we are not able to give the result of the last courses. CANTERBURY CUP. First Round (continued).
