The steamers Arawata from Sydney via North and the Hawea from Dunedin via Akaroa arrived this morning. Some difference has recently occurred between the Union Steamship Company and the lumpers usually employed by them, in consequence of a reduction in the wnges. The old hands” have refused to go on at the reduced Messrs Cuff and Graham are expecting the Kenilworth from Auckland. The T.inn sailed out into the stream yesterday afternoon for Auckland. She is to load at the Manukau, it is said, with timber for this port. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, July 27. The City of Sydney arrived at 10.30 to-day. She left San Francisco on July 4th, the day before time; was detained four hours off the island of Oahu through thick weather; on the 23rd experienced strong S.W. gale.
