SOUTH RAKAIA DOMAIN BOARD.
The rnembsrs of this Board met at Rakaia oa Thursdiy. Present—Meaara C. N. Mackie, G. Ro.inaon, C. Hardy, J. N. Sharp, A. Makeig and J. Bruce. Mr O. N. Mackie waa elected chairman. The " Gazette " notice constituting tho Board was read. A lettor waa read from tho Ashburton County Council, informing tho Board that tho sum of £l5O had been granted to it out of the speoial fund. It was resolved to apply to the County Council for tho amount. It waa resolved to invite tenders for fencing and ploughing tho fifty acrsa veetod in the Board for recreation purposes. It was resolved that Mr A. Makeig bo appoiutcd secretary to the Board, elso that the chairman and any one member sign chequea. The Board thon adjourned to Thuradoy, 22nd instant, to receive tenders.
