[EEUTEE’S TELEQEAM3.] LONDON, July 12. The Mails. The homeward Australian and Now Zealand mails, via Brindisi, which left Melbourne on May 28th, were delivered here this morning. The Markets. Three per cent, consols are at 981. The 5 per cent. New Zealand 10-40 loan is at 105. The 4* per cent. New Zealand 1879 loan 1904 is at 100*. New Zealand wheat, ex ship, is at 40s; Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, 49s ; Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, at 375. Australian tallow, best beef, at 33s 6d; best mutton at 355. PARIS, July 13. M. Rochefort. M. Rochefort, availing himself of the pardon granted by President Grevy to Communists, has arrived in Paris, and has received a cordial welcome from his friends and sympathisers. LONDON, July 12. N Z. Loan. Five per cent. New Zealand loan, 1889, 105*. The Mails. The homeward mails via Brindisi per Orient Company’s steamer Aconcagua wore delivered here to-day. The Australian Eleven. The cricket match Australians versus Leicestershire county team at Leicester was commenced to-day. The Australian team went in first and scored 142 runs. The home team then went in for their first innings, and when the stumps were drawn had five wickets down for 32 runs. Tho weather was fine throughout the day, and the attendance of the public at the match was large. The wicket was dead. July 13. Obituary. Mr Tom Taylor, editor of “ Punch,” is dead, The Borough Franchise. In the House of Commons the Ministry withdrew the Bill assimilating the borough franchise of Ireland with that of England.
