PROPERTY SALE.
At the land sale rooms of Messrs H. Matson AND Co, on Saturday last a sale of properties was held. The attendance was large, but biddings slow, and a spirit of competition wanting; however, twenty acres of land situate on the H&zewood road, the property of J. A. Fountaine, Eeq., were submitted, the biddings quickly running up to .£35 per acre, for which it was sold. Several other properties were passed in, not realising owners’ prices. Total sale, JB7OO
