Sib,—ln your report of the meeting of the unemployed in the Oddfellows' Hall last evening, -I am reported to have said, "The answer of the Government was indefinite, but they must not forget that they could hardly manage the finances of the colony." What I did say was as follows—" The finanoial condition of the colony being bo deplorable it would be hard for any Government to manage it satisfactorily for awhile, and that they should not in any way obstruct them."
