MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — FRIDAY, JULY 2. For Northern ports and Australian Colonies, via Sydney, per Arawata. at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m.; guard’s van, 3.55 p'.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 3.15 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.55 p.m. train. SATURDAY, JULY 3. For Northern ports, per Wanaka, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. TUESDAY, JULY 6. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Rotomahana. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on July 17, and will be due in London on August 31. Notice. —The post office at Springbank will, be re-opened from 28th June, 1880. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
