ODDFELLOWSHIP.
At the half-yearly meeting of the Amberley Lodge, 1.0.0.F.M.U. ,tte officers elected wero Bro. W. Payne, N.G., Bro. G. Wornall, Y.G., and Dr. Preston medical officer. At the half-yearly meeting of the Eangiora Lodge on Monday, the officers elected were Bro. O. Tyler, N.G., Bro. Carter, V.G. The secretary agreed to a proposed reduction of his salary. At tho half-yearly mooting of the Kaiapoi Lodge on Tuesdav evening, the officers elected wero Bro. J. Bugg, N.G., Bro. S. Qoldtborpo, Y.G. Bros. Fraser, Finnis, Smith, and Bugg were elected a hall committee. Five now candidates were initiated during the evening. The half-yearly meeting of the Loyal Benevolent Lodge of North Canterbury District was held on Monday evening, June 28th, in their Hall, Montreal street North, when there was a full attendance of members. It was unanimously resolved to start a juvenile lodge, members to be admitted between the ages of twelve and eighteen years, the elective officers for the ensuing term to be a committee to carry out the same. An application for a loan of £SOO on freehold property was granted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—P. E. Sec Palmer, N.G., Bro. D. Kerr, Y.G., Dr. D. Campbell medical officer (re-elected). Bro. F. J. Simkin volunteered to act E. Sec., and was elected by show of hands. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the retiring officers, and the incoming officers were duly installed, P.P.G.M. Parry and P.Q.M. Liddel acting as installing officers. Several visiting brethren were present, and after the sentiments had been responded to, two new members wero proposed, and the lodge closed in due form. Tho receipts of the evening were £56. The quarterly meeting of the Loyal Doyleston Lodge, No. 6076, was held on Tuesday last, and considering the state of the weather, there was a fair attendance of members present. The following were elected for the ensuing half-year :—Bro. Geo. Jfinnor, N.G., Bro. John Blackler, Y.G., Bros. J. H. Doyle and John Bray right and left supporters to N.G , Bros. Coulter and G. Barrell right and left supporters to Y.G., Bro. Kissel, warden, Bro. J. Murrison, tyler. The question of a lodge doctor was allowed to stand over, and Bros. G. Barrell and Glasson were instructed to wait on Dr. Chapman re the same. After transacting other business the lodge closed in due form. The Star of Waltham Lodge held their half-yearly meeting at the Library, Waltham, on Tuesday, 29th instant. Tho election of officers resulted as follows P.G. Thompson as N.G., P.G. Hurst, Y.G., G.M. Withers, 8.5., Bro. H. A. Eollett, auditor. P.G, Woodford retains office as treasurer, and P.G. Crowley as secretary. The receipts of the evening amounted to £32 lls Bd.
