There are a number of vessels now in the fairway, awaiting a slant of wind to get to ports to the nor’ard, by whom this news will he received with a sense of regret and thankfulness —regret that the gale was not from the opposite direction, and thankfulness for being snug in a safe port while the adverse tempest rages. ) Passengers for London per Orient Company s Lusitania must leave Lyttelton by the Eiugaroomu to-morrow (Wednesday). The Rotomahana leaving Lyttelton on the 6th pros, will he the last steamer connecting with the Liguria, leaving Melbourne for London on the 27th of July. , „ , ii In consequence of the Eotorua, hence on tne 13th pros., remaining in Port Chalmers for her annual overhaul, there will ha no steamer for Melbourne between the 6th and 20th July.
