COURSING.
NEW ZEALAND WATERLOO MEETING. The hell was set rolling on Wednesday morning at Mr Minchin’a homestead, when Balmoral and Billiards were put in the slips, nine courses remaining to be run to complete the first round for the Oup. After Billiards had disposed of Balmoral, Hinemoa mot Verbena, soring a course to Mr A. Thomson. Brigade and Black Cloud followed, which resulted in the sou of Barnby placing the course to Mr Hill’s credit. The next couple were Honeymoon and Chang. This was a splendid course and a long one, and was cleverly won by the former. In the next event Chevy Chase wrested a long course from the daughter of Geelong Comet, whilst in the oucceeding course Banshee ran grandly, giving Queen of the Seas a licking. Miranda ran splendidly, giving Flirt the go-by at every turn. To Kooti and Fly were next slipped, and this event brought the first round to a conclusion. The first ties were began by Don Carlos beating Kip, and the succeeding courses were well contested, the hares being in all oases very strong. Petrea, Reflection, Encore, Jeanette, Honeymoon, and Miranda each won their courses grandly. The first ties _ were closed by Te Kooti running a bye. whan it was decided to cease operations till Thursday morning. [Br Tblbobaph.] MALVERN, June 17. The meet was resumed this morning at the homestead of Messrs. Maxwell and Mathias, Racecourse Hill. The sport was slow, hares being scarce. Appended are the results Waterloo Cup. Second Ties.
