COURSING.

NEW ZEALAND WATERLOO MEETING. This meeting was commenced on the grounds of Mr Minchin, near Sheffield, on Tuesday. The attendance was not so good as the importance of the events justified, neither were hares so plentiful as could be desired. Fourteen courses were run off in the first round for the Waterloo Oup, and very good sport was obtained. The course between Mr A. Duncan's Blue Bell and Mr Ooombes' Guy was very good, and the manner in which Blue Bell ran her course showed evidence of careful training. In the course between Petrea and Riot, the daughter of Queen Death ran splendidly, and she wrested a well ormtested course from Riot very cleverly. In the next course her sistor Kathleen held her own well against Calceolaria, and her win was received with applause. The course between Lufra and Reflection was well contested, and Mr Porter's score with the latter gave every satisfaction. Tho course between Skiddaw Lass and Magic was a long one. The dogs ran neck and neck almost from start to finish, and it was only a fluke that wrested it from Magic and scored one to Skiddaw Lass. The spin between Young Ridley and Encore excited a good deal of attention, because Encore's performance in the Oaks in the Birthday, when she took first money, made her a hot favorite, and she justified the opinion of her backers. In the course between Malice and Papanui it was a moral for the former, owing to Papanui having broken from the leash in the early part of tho day and coursed and killed on her own account. MALVERN, June 16. The first round for the Oup was finished this morning, as was also the first ties. Hares were plentiful and very strong. The weather was magnificent. WATERLOO CUP.
