MAIL NOTICES.

Mails dose at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subjsot to the necessary alterations) as under: — WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16. For Northern Ports, per tug Lyttelton, at 6 a.m. ; guard’s van. 8 a.m. train.

For Nelson and Westport, iper Maori, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Go-Ahead, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train.

For Otago, per Wakatipu, at 3.15 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.25 p m.; guard’s van, 3.55 p.m. train.

For Koihonra, per Tui, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train.

THURSDAY, JUNE 17. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Tararna, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Porta, New South Wales, and Queensland, per Rotorua.

The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on June 19, and will be duo in London on August 3. The next mail for tho United Kingdom, via Brindisi (far specially addressed correspondence only), will he closed at Christchurch on July Ist, and will be due in London on August 21st. The Post Offices at Christchurch and Lyttelton will be open evaiy Saturday night, from half-past six until a quarter to eight o’clock, for the purpose of receiving Savings’ Bank deposits only.
