The meeting will take place at the homestead of Messrs Maxwell and Mathias, Bacecourse hill, and, judging from the influx of coursing men from the South, a large gathering may be expected. It is expected that the first dogs will be slipped a little after noon- Thejudgo is Mr O. W. Wise, and the slipper Mr Turner, both of whom officiated in the same capacities at the late Birthday meeting, The train leaves the Christchurch station at 8.20 a.m., reaching Sheffield a little after 11 o’clock.
