[eeuter’s telegrams.] LONDON, June 14. Russia in the East. It is now announced that Colonel Gordon, R.E. (Chinese Gordon), who has left for China, has been invited by the Chinese Government in view of difficulties with Bussia. There is considerable agitation in Turkestan, and the Russians are reported to bo marching into Kashgar, LONDON, June 12. Shipping. Arrived—Hereford and Maraval, from Lyttelton. Juno 14. Afghan Affairs. Confirmatory information has been received that the Indian Government has offered the Ameership to Abdnr Rahman. Should Abdur Rahman decline, Yakoob Khan will probably bo offered the office.
