MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at tho Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — SATURDAY, JUNE 12. For Northern ports, per Wanaka, at 7 p.m. The guard’s van must not be need for this mail. TUESDAY, JUNE 15. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Tararua. The next mail for tho United Kingdom, via Sau Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on June 19, and will bo due in London on ’ August 3. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will be closed at Christchurch on July Ist, and will be due in London on August 21st. The Post Offices at Christchurch and Lyttelton will be open every Saturday night, from half-past six until a quarter Ito eight o’clock, for the purpose of receiving Savings’ Bank deposits only.
